 Solan : Chail Sanctuary , Churdhar Sanctuary , Gurkha Castles , Kamru Fort , Solan Valley , Arki Fort , Sholoni Devi Temple , etc. Solan is a beautiful district of Himachal Pradesh and a part of Tourism in India 

Chail Sanctuary

Chail Sanctuary

Chail sanctuary is located at Chail . The Deodar and Oak forests with grasslands around the township are the abode of wildlife. Chail sanctuary was notified on 21st March 1976 near Chail Town in District Shimla and covers an area of 10,854.36 hectares.
Gurkha Castles
The Gurkha castles in Solan, Sirmour, Bilaspur and Shimla districts remind us of the life and time under the Gurkha regime. While most of the structures built by the Gurkhas have crumbled, the remaining few beckon tourists. 
Kamru Fort
Kamru Fort
The Kamru fort , the silent sentinel, located at a an altitude of 2,600m above the sea level. This place is situated  at a distance of 229-km from Shimla, and is surrounded by  fields and orchards with .
Solan Valley
Solan district, also known as the 'Mahasu' district that is the most developed of all Himachal districts. The British loved Solan and built a number of small towns almost each of them with a with a cantonment area on its outskirts.
Churdhar Sanctuary
The sanctuary is named for the Chur Peak, on the top of which sits a majestic status of Lord Shiva. The tourists may find a large number of multi-coloured and agile Monals in nearby forests.

Arki Fort
It was the capital of the princely state of Baghal. Arki has witnessed a good measure of turbulence in this area.
Dr. Yashwant Singh Paramar University Of Horticulture & Forestry
This university is the first one in Asia in its type . It is spread over an area of 550 hectares in village of Naunj. It  is situated at a distance of 15-km from the town. This university was established on 1st December 1985, the founder being Dr.Y.S.Paramour, the first chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.
Sholoni Devi Temple

The temple of Goddess Sholoni Devi is located at the southern part of the town and Solan. The temple  was named after Devi Sholoni. The famous Shalooni fair is held here every year in the month of June over here, which is dedicated to Goddess Sholoni Devi. Many tourists come here during fair.

Barog
The town  is located in an idyllic setting at a distance of 8 Km . The pines of Barog are full of cavort and pleasantries. Barog's railway station, on the Kalka-Shimla, is one of the most picturesque stations, modeled in the Scottish-style.
Giri Picnic
You can enjoy the picnic spot amongst the cool waters of Giri, 20-kms from Solan.
Jatoli ShivTemple
(6Km.)
This old temple is  just 6-kms away from Solan.. Every year an annual fair is organized here on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Many people come here to enjoy themselves during the fair.
Bon Monastery (Yung Drung Ling)
The Monastery is located at a distance of 12-kms from Solan. This monastery is the second oldest monastery in the world after the one present in Tibet.

Chandigarh and Shimla is the nearest airport from Solan.
By Rail
The nearest railhead is Kalka in Haryana , 44-km from Solan.

Taj Mahal

Golden Temple

How to Reach- By Train-Mysore is connected with a number of trains to Bangalore. The super fast luxury train the Shatabdi Express connects Mysore to Madras. The quickest and most comfortable way to reach Mysore is via Bangalore.

By Air - The nearest airport to Mysore is Bangalore (139 km). By Road -Mysore is 139kms to the south west of Bangalore, well connected with rest of India.
