Tawang Monastery , Arunachal Pradesh

Tawang Monastery : It is the largest Monastery In India and 2nd Largest In Asia. It is located at a distance of 180-km From Bomdila, Tawang District, Arunachal Prdesh. The Monastery is a 400 years old Buddhist monastery and was founded by Mera Lama. Many tourist come here to visit The Monastery.

Itanagar is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. The name Ita comes from the Ita fort, which was built in the fourteenth century. It is a beautiful  small town rich in culture. The town is situated at the height  of about 8000 feet above the sea level. It is famous for the Buddhist Monastery situated here is the headquarters of West Kameng District. snow capped peaks and Buddhist Gompas
(monasteries). Many tourists visit Bobdila every year.

Golden Pagoda , Arunachal Pradesh
Golden Pagoda is located in the banks of River Teang  in Namsai District of Arunachal Pradesh. The Pagoda was built by over 300 Myanmar’s architects and skilled masons.  The Pagoda has installation of 13 crown atop the stupas with Lord Buddha’s relics from India, Thailand and Myanmar. There is model ,  the Kala Buddha of Nalanda archive.
There is also a centre for cultural research of the Tai Khamti- Singpho tribes, a library and a Monastery/Monk’s hostel. The major tribes living there - Khamtis and Singphos . The Khamtis and Singphos are Buddhists of the Theravada School. Khamtis has script of their own only .

Taj Mahal
