Kutumsar Cave
It is the second longest natural cave in the world. This undergronud cave is nearly 330 meters in length . The cave is located 32 kms away from Jagadalpur. At the end of the cave there is a stlagmite formation of a Shiva linga which is revered by the tribals and travellers. This cave was discovered in the year 1900.
Kailash Cave
The cave is located 40 meters above the ground level and it is 200 meters long. It is named so because of the natural carving of the idol of lord Shiva. This cave is situated in the Kanger Valley National park. Solar powered lamps light up the entire cave.
Dandak Cave
The cave is 200 meters long . Dandak Cave is another tourist attraction in the locality .
Kanger Valley National Park
This is located 27 kms asway from Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh on the banks of the Khoaba River . The park was founded in 1982 .The park was declared as a National Park in the year 1982 . Bears, Tigers, Panthers, Chital , Sambar , barking deer , mouse deer , deer are commonly seen here.
The 34-km-long Kanger Valley was declared as Asian Biosphere Reserve. There you can find panther, chital, sambhar, chinkara, tiger, barking deer, mouse deer [rare] bear, wild boar, wild dogs, jungle cat, langoor, black buck, jackals, wolf, hyena, fox, hare, kobra, kraits, python, monitor lizards, peacock, red spur fall, kala teetar, tree pie, drongo. The Park also has a wealth of the lower forms of plants such as fungi, algae, bryophytes and pteridophytes. Birds of prey, scavenging birds, waterbirds, pheasants, reptiles such as snakes, lizards, and butterflies, moths, dragon flies, and grasshoppers are common.Kanger Valley has some famous natural caves such as Dandak, Kutumsar and Kailash. Kanger Dhara and Bhaimsa Dharha are two good picnic resorts here. Bhaimsa Dharha is a crocodile park. Many tribal population live here among the Sal and Teak forests.
Indravati National Park
This is named after the river Indravati which flows through the sanctuary. Animals found here include wild buffaloes, tigers, panthers, deer, and other small animals like the flying squirrel etc.
Bairamgarh Wildlife Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is full of f grasslands and is famous for deer. Chital or the spotted deer is found here in their natural habitat .
Bhainsa Darha is a lake into which the Kanger river flows. The lake is situated 63 Kns away from Jagdalpur . This is large lake formed in the middle of thick bamboo forests and covers and area of 4 hectares. Crocodiles and turtles are found in this lake.
Chitrakoot waterfalls
The gorgeous waterfall is located at 50 kms from Jagdalpur. This waterfall is considered as a smaller version of the Niagara falls in the USA for its cresent shape. The waters of river Indravati falling down the Vindhya mountains forms these waterfalls. It is beautiful in wild surrounding .
Thiratgarh Waterfalls is located at a distance of 32 Kms from Jagdalpur . Itis a 50 meter waterfall and presents a panoramic view to the eyes. You can visit an ancient Shiva - Parvati temple here also .
Festivals
Dussera
Dussera is the most colourful festival celebrated in Bastar. This festival is dedicated to Godess Dhanteshwari, unlike the Dussera in other parts of India. During this festival, all the deities from the neighbouring villages congregate at the Dhanteshwari temple in Jagdalpur.
Madai Festival is another famous festival celebrated by the Gond tribes of Bastar. During the festival, the devotees gather under a sacred tree and sacrifice goats to the Godess and celebrate all through the night.
Nava Khana is a harvest festival, which signifies eating of the new crop. Haryali and Chertha festivals are some of the other agricultural festivals.
Kajari festival is another popular festival, which is celebrated on "Shravan Purnima", which coincides with Raksha Bhandan festival.
Bastar Lokotsav, is a festival to exhibit the different tribal cultures. During this festival, the singing and dancing talents of the tribals are displayed. People from neighbouring districts also take part in this festival.

Dhateshwari Temple - This temple is situated in Jagdalpur. The temple was built by the Chalukya kings in the 14th century. This temple is considered as one of the Shakthi Peetas dedicated to the mother Goddess.
Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple - This is a temple situated in Jagdalpur and is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, who is the ruling deity of Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh.
