Ukhrul Tourism

Ukhrul  Tour Attractions : Shirui Kashung ( Shiroi Peak ), the floral garden of Shirui Lily ,   Azoa Jenephiu Magi Lake near Kachouphung , Cold Water Fishery Project near zero point Phangrei, Shirui , Saline Springs at Rajai Kl. Blyth's Tragopan
Shirui Kashung  ( Shiroi Peak ) : It is located at 18 km east of the Ukhrul District headquarters and 103 km from Imphal. This peak is famous for  the beautiful Shirui Lily, the official flower of Manipur.  The peak is also  called by the Tangkhuls.  It has a  beautiful grassland on the top of 2500 meter. You will find  thick forest at the foot also. The peak is part of the Shirui-Kashong range, proposed to be the National Park under the Wild Life Protection Act 1972. Here you can find  endangered bird species like the Blyth's Tragopan and Mrs. Hume's Bar-backed Pheasant or Nongyin, which is  Manipur's state bird.
Khangkhui Mangsor (cave) :
It is situated  about 15 kms. east of Ukhrul. . It is also known as Kangkhui cave(Mangsor). It has  two large chambers and five tunnels. According to the legend  the deity of Mangsor as a very powerful spirit who is benevolent and romantic .He had two wives. The first wife hailed from Shirui peak and had no issue and the second wife was from Koubru hills of Senapati District. One chamber each was built for both the wives, the better and bigger one to the first wife and lesser but more rooms to the second wife, as she had issues. 
Kachouphung Lake :
It is situated about 7 kms. South east of Khayang Fall. The Lake is located in a hill slope or Achuwa Magi Hills surrounded by a number of knolls. The lake is about 9 acre in size.You can find local colourful fishes here . The shape of the lake looks like India map. Nily river is flowing nearby pleasantly.
Ango Ching :
It covers the area of 150 sq km. surrounded by Sanalok river in the west and Myanmar in the East and Kacouphung in North . Wild animals like Elephants , Sambers . Tigers , Deers , Barking deers , Bison , Leopard , Wild Cat , Horn Bills . Peackok , etc are common here
Khangkhui Cave :
It is a  natural lime- stone cave. The big hall in the
cave is the darbar hall of the Devil King living deep inside while the northern hall is the royal bedroom, according to local folklore. During World War II, the villagers took shelter in this cave.
Shirui : 
It is situated at a distance of 39 km from Ukhrul and 90 kms. from Imphal. It is the home of world famous Shirui Lily (Lillium Macklinae).The British Botanist named F,kingdom Ward  in 1948 discovered the uniqueness of the lily flower.The local name of the is KashongTimrawon.According to local people the KashongTimrawon is also a protective spirit which resides on the now called Shirui Peak. Every year thousand of Scientists and Tourists all over the World come to see this precious flower.
Khayang Peak :
The Peak is at an elevation of  3114 m from the sea level. It  is the highest peak of the region.

Taj Mahal

Akshardham Temple

Golden Temple

The Golden Temple or Sri Harmandir Sahib or Sri Darbar Sahib, is situated in Amritsar, Punjab. Built by Guru Arjan Sahib, the temple is visited by thousands of devotees throughout the year.

The palace also called as the Amba Vilas is the main palace of Mysore.. The architecture of the palace is the amalgamation of Dravidian, Indo-Saracenic, Roman and Oriental styles.

How to Reach- By Train-Mysore is connected with a number of trains to Bangalore. The super fast luxury train the Shatabdi Express connects Mysore to Madras. The quickest and most comfortable way to reach Mysore is via Bangalore.

By Air - The nearest airport to Mysore is Bangalore (139 km). By Road -Mysore is 139kms to the south west of Bangalore, well connected with rest of India.
