Tashi View Point
It is situated 4 km from Gangtok town, was built by Tashi Namgyal, the late King of Sikkim.It was built by the late King of Sikkim Sri. Tashi Namgyal. From this point you get a majestic view of the Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt Simolchu snowy range on a clear day. On the opposite hill, the Phodong and the Labrang monasteries can be seen. A park above the View Point is a good place to enjoy a picnic.The Tashi View Point is one of the most popular places to see in the state of Sikkim in India.
Ganesh Tok
Lord Ganesha Temples Ganesh Tok Temple. It is a very small temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh, a diety worshipped by Hindus. It is situated on a ridge and is only 7 kms from Gangtok. It offers a panoramic view of Gangtok town and the Raj Bhawan Complex and on a clear day a breathtaking view of Mt. Khangchendzonga.Take 6-7 km stride from the downtown to this ridge offering sprawing view of Gangtok along with stupendous sights of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Sniolchu Looming
Hanuman Tok
It is situated 11 km away from Gangtok town, it is a temple dedicated to the Lord Hanuman, a god worshipped by Hindus. From the temple itself, the snowy peaks of Khangchendzonga present a panoramic picture. One may view the Selep waterworks, which supplies drinking water to the Gangtok town. The temple at Hanuman Tok is maintained by a unit of the Indian Army and can be found to be spick and span.
Government Institute of Cottage Industry
Do-Drul Chorten stupa was built in 1945 by Trulshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism.Inside this Stupa, there are complete Mandala sets of Dorjee Phurba (Bajra Kilaya) around this Chorten, which is one of the most important Stupas in Sikkim, are 108 Mani-lhakor (prayer wheels). These prayer wheels are turned by the devout Buddhist while chanting "hail to the jewel in the lotus ", to invoke Buddhisattva. It is is the biggest and the most important stupa in Sikkim.
Deer Park
Deer park also known as the Rustamji Park, adjacent to the new secretariat, it is named after one of the Dewans of the Chogyal of Sikkim. . The park has a big open enclosure in which different types of deer can be seen. There are also a few cages in which some animals native to Sikkim like the Red Panda and the Himalayan Bear are kept. Deer Park is a nice place to easily spot the deer and antelopes in Sikkim.
White Hall
The hall is named 'White Hall' as it has been built in memory of the first political officer of Sikkim, Claude White.The White Hall has historical value and is situated on the Ridge. It is a two storied structure and has typical British architecture and was built in 1932. It is so called not because it is, painted white but because it was built in memory of the first Political Officer of Sikkim, Claude White. There is an Officers' Club and a badminton court in the White Hall.
Enchey Monastery
The Enchey Monastery was established in 1909 above Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim in the Northeastern Indian state. Lama Drupthob Karpo is supposed to have built a small hermitage at the spot he reached after he flew from Maynam Hill in South Sikkim. Later during the reign of Sidyong Tulku 1909 - 1910 the present monastery was built in the shape of a Chinese pagoda. It follows the Nyingma Order and has around 90 monks. The annual Puja is celebrated in January. Enchey Monastery is a beautiful Buddhist pilgrimage destination which has a very interesting behind it.
