Taj Mahal is the first of Seven Wonders of the world situated in Agra.
The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, took 22 years to complete with over 20,000 craftsmen working round the clock. Taj Mahal stands on the bank of River Yamuna defending the Great Red Fort of Agra, the center of the Mughal emperors until they moved their capital to Delhi in 1637. It was built by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan in 1631 in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
There is Agra Fort made of red sandstone by Emperor Akbar. The nearby short excursions from Agra include Fatehpur Sikri, Sikandra tomb, Mathura and Vrindavan

By Air -Kheria airport at Agra, is located 6 km from downtown Sadar Bazaar.
By Rail -There is a good network of trains connecting Agra with the rest of the country. There are other two stations also, that of Raja-ki-Mundi and Agra Fort. The main trains connecting Agra with Delhi are Palace on Wheels, Shatabdi, Rajdhani, and Taj Express.
By Road -There are regular bus services from Agra to a number of important cities. The main bus stand of Idgah has a number of buses running for Delhi, Jaipur, Mathura, Fatehpur-Sikri, etc.
Dal Lake
The Dal Lake which has the length of 8 Km long and a width of 4 Km, spreads over a total of 26 Sq. Km. The fascinating Dal Lake is divided into two smaller ones the Lokut (small) and Bod (big) Dal. The south western part of the lake has a maximum depth of approximately 12 M. the

Taj Mahal
