Upper Dibang Valley Tourism

Upper Dibang Valley  Attraction - Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary is the main attraction here. Upper Dibang Valley is a beautiful district of Arunachal Pradesh in India . It promotes Tourism in India.

Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary : The sanctuary was established in 1991. The object was to give save haven to wildlife in the upper areas of the district.The sanctuary covers over an area of 4149 sq km. The Sanctuary is famous for rhododendrons, orchids and exotic animals. You will also find  musk deer, serow, takin, goral, black bear, red panda and leopard. Tirap Toursim

Tirap is a beautiful district  of Arunachal Pradesh. The region is situated along the border of Myanmar. Tawang Tourism

Tawang Tourists Attractions Tawang Monastery . Tawang is beautiful district of Arunachal Pradesh promoting Tourism in India .
It is loccated at a height of over 10,000 ft above sea level. This sammll town is an important Buddhist center of northeast India. The origin of the Tawang monastery can be traced to the mid-17th century. A monk, Mera Lama, a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama, founded this monastery. The sixth Dalai Lama was born in this monastery. It  is also known as the 'Galden Namgyal Lhatse.' This monastery is a virtual treasure trove of Tibetan Buddhist culture. The Parkhang hall within the monastery has a library that houses a good collection of rare Buddhist manuscripts and thanka paintings (traditional Tibetan paintings on cloth). The monastery complex also houses a towering 18-ft-high gilded statue of the Buddha in the prayer hall. The monastery is situated on a spur about 2 km from the heart of the town.
Tawang also attracts tourists during the festivals . Some of the important festivals such as Losar, Torgya, Choekor and Dupka Tse-She are celebrated in Tawang. The monasteries , beautiful mountains and 100 lakes offer a panoramic view to tourists from all over India and the world.

Lohit Tourism

The holy place  is situated   at a distance of  24 Kms. to the North-east of Tezu beside the river Lohit. It is also known as  'Prabhu Kuthar'. According to legend one day Renuka, mother of Parasuram went to Ganga for a bath and to bring  water. But she was late which made the Rishi Jamadagni, the husband of Renuka very angry. He asked the sons to kill her. Only Parasuram among his six sons obliged. As a result of his crime handle with his axe got struck to his hand. Jamadagni was very pleased with him for carrying out his order and asked Parasuram to have for boon.
Parasuram prayed  as to how to get rid of the crime of matricide. Jamadagni told Parasuram to visit " Brahma Kund" to wash off the sin. Parasuram came to the Brahma Kund, in Lohit District of Arunachal Pradesh for holy dip in the kunda.  Even today many religious people, saints come to this kund on Makarsakranti  on the 14th January every year.  It is a holy pilgrimage to Hindus and a tourist attraction also as festivals are observed.
Dong :

It is a small village  in the eastern most part of India had the privilege to have first sunrise of the millennium in India.  It is situated near Walong circle at distance of about 200 Km from Tezu connected with all weather roads.  Many tourists come here to view snow-capped mountains and blue pine forest here.
                                                               
 Buddha-Vihar :

They are also known as  CHONG in the Khamtis area.  The CHONG of Namsai,Sub.Division and Mon-mau, near the junction of Wakro-Tezu road is famous . The world Peace Pagoda located in a river island at Chongkham is ideal for meditation in front of Buddha statues that surrounds in inner core of the vihar.                                                        

The Khamti Raja's Chong at Guna Nagar at Chongkham is famouse for relics of Gautama Buddha. They are build on Thai-architectural style.

Glow Lake
Glow Lake 
It is situated in Wakro circle.  You can view the  snow clad mountains and rich flora and fauna in and around the lake.  It covers an area of about  8 Sq.Kms .  The nearest road point is near Twam village on Chongkham-Wakro road from where one has to start trekking for the lake.  It is an adventurous trip as only by trekking you can reach there.

The travelers  prefer to have a hot bath at the hot springs near Walong owing  to easy communication.  It is situated at a distance of about 5 kms. from Walong.

Hawa Camp

The camp is situated at a distance of 33 Km. from Tezu towards Hayuliang. One can have beautiful view of the magnificent Lohit Valley and sunrise and sun set from this spot. The place is well known among local people for a short break from their daily monotonous life.
Bhismak Nagar 

The city  was established by a king named Bhismak.  The story of Bhismak narrates how Shri. Krishna married Rukmini against the wishes of her father Bhismak.

The ruin of the historical Bhismak Nagar is situated at a distance of about 40 Kms. from Tezu near Sunpura circle. Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh attracts many tourist all the year for its natural beauty and historical importance , folk tradition , tribal festivals , etc.

Kurung Kumey Tourism

East Siang Tourism

East Siang Tourism : Kekar Monying , Gomsi , Daying Ering Wild Life Sanctuary , Pagin , etc . 
Kekar Monying : It is a historical mountain cliff near Rottung . The Adi put up a strong resistance against British in 1911. British took punitive expedition for  murdering  Noel Williamson , a political officer. A stone epitaph is placed at Siang .
Gomsi  : The past culture of early medieval period (Pre-Ahom) was found here . Here a big rectangular Canal of 3.5 mts wide and a pond of 38x36 are found also . 13 different sizes of bricks were found inside the canal.
Daying Ering Wild Life Sanctuary : It is situated 13 km away from Pasighat . It is one of the few sanctuaries situated on an island . You will reach there by crossing the River Siangby . The place is famous for migratory birds like cranes , wild-ducks , water-fowls , hornbils , etc. You will also see Deer , Wild-elephants  , buffaloes , etc.


Pagin : It is located at a distance of 60 kms from Pasghat . River Siyom meets river Siang here presenting a marvelous sight . The blue waters of Simon mix with the Green water of Siang. So, the beauty of the confluence of the two river is very divine .
The locals practice different festivals like Solung , Mopin ,  Unying-Aran , Etor , Prime , Ali-Aye Ligang , etc The tribal dances like Delong , Ponung , Yakjong , Tapu , Soman , etc are also   major tour attractions .

East Kameng Tourism

Taj Mahal
